GLF Africa 2026: Stewarding our rangelands

GLF Africa 2026: Stewarding Our Rangelands is a hybrid conference to be held in 2026, in the context of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP).

The event aims to reposition rangelands and pastoral systems as critical to climate resilience, food security, biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in Africa. It will bring together pastoralist and Indigenous communities, policymakers, scientists, investors and civil society organizations to advance sustainable rangeland management, strengthen pastoralist livelihoods and rights, and promote inclusive policies and investments. The program will address key themes such as policy and governance, financing a stewardship economy, and the integration of Indigenous knowledge, science and innovative technologies, while fostering concrete commitments and partnerships to scale up action for Africa’s rangelands.

Join the conversation and be part of GLF Africa 2026.
Register now to connect with pastoralist communities, policymakers, scientists and investors working to shape the future of Africa’s rangelands.
